Y2K fashion still isn’t going anywhere — especially not now after the launch of True Religion and Baby Phat’s first-ever collaboration.
The aughts fashion powerhouses — Baby Phat, known for its glitzy streetwear ensembles, and True Religion for its low-rise bootcut (often sparkly) denim with a back pocket horseshoe logo stitching — teamed up on a retail line that includes baby tees, loungewear sets and a whole lot of denim and rhinestones.
“Baby Phat gave women a new language for glamour: commanding, luxurious and entirely their own,” Kimora Lee, CEO and founder of Baby Phat, said about the collection. “True Religion did the same for denim. This collection joins those two legacies. It’s not a throwback. It’s the real thing.”

True Religion x Baby Phat tapped Love Island USA season 8 stars Aniya Harvey and Kayda Boss for the campaign. Starring in a video inspired by MTV’s documentary series Making the Video, the It girls tap into their reality show expertise for a whirlwind of close-ups, fit checks and glam — all in the name of showcasing the power of the low-rise jean.

The duo also attended the True Religion x Baby Phat runway show on Oct. 27. Elevating a private hangar in Van Nuys, the fashion event unfolded in front of a branded airplane. Guests including GiGi Gorgeous, Jaleel White, Dreezy, Natalie Nunn, India Love, Morgan Westbrook, Teffi Pesoa, Clarke Carraway, Zach and Charlie Georgiou, Sierra Mills and more watched singers Yume and Justin Skye perform while models — including Boss in her runway debut — showed off the collection’s satin bombers, micro skirts and other statement wear.

After the runway show, attendees gathered for photos, VIP gifting and an after party soundtracked by DJ Baby Girl Lexcix. See more below.
